Great to hear from Dave Inwood, I assume he is living in Spain under some kind of Witness Protection Program!
I propped Dave in my first game for Ealing 1st Team back in 1963. It was an interesting experience as Dave could not see without his glasses, so his loosehead had to indicate orally when the ball was put in.
I too live abroad, having left the UK in 1978. I moved with my family to Minneapolis in the USA-readers may have read of the bridge collapse last week. As Dave indicated, the Ealing Website is a great source of information for expatriate Ealing members, and I like him was an avid follower of the Clubs’ campaign last season. I also join him in requesting a section on the Website where ex-members can renew old friendships. In this regard, club members from my era will be interested to know that I met up (accidentally) with Dave Paterson last year in Mexico. He has not mellowed very much, and is still the same old character.
I have many happy memories from my time with Ealing, and wish the Club continued success in the coming seasons. My Email address is fredblogg@aol.com, for anyone interested in contacting me directly.
