Club Officers and Honours
Records of Club Honours stretch back to 1871.
Currently we have a list of honorary roles for: Club President, Club Chairman, Hon Secretary and Club Captain. Also included are our Life Members, Vice Presidents and Club Patrons. These can be viewed in detail by using the Explore People option on the home page menu bar and using the Role filter to focus on individual roles.
These apply to our two separate affiliations with the RFU which are Ealing Football (RU) and Ealing Rugby 1871. These affiliations form the "One Club" and the honours lists can be found HERE.
Seasonal Honours
Each season playing and non-playing honours are awarded. The primary playing honours are the Captain's Cap, Honours Caps and Dates. There are also a number of other playing awards including the Player of the Year awards. The full list of Seasonal Honours can be found HERE.
The Club currently has excellent records for these stretching back to 1971. These honours apply to both the Ealing Football (RU) and Ealing Rugby 1871 RFU affiliations.
In addition the 100 Appearances Tie a playing honour was introduced in 2019 to recognise the formation of the Ealing Rugby 1871 affiliation with the RFU. This tie is is awarded to all players who have played at least one fixture for Ealing 1871, or have been active managers or volunteers for Ealing 1871 and have played at least 100 times for the Club.
The dual affiliations enables the "One Club" to have both its Ealing Trailfinders Championship team and its Ealing Trailfinders 1871 team competing in the RFU leagues and the seasonal honours lists can be found HERE.
Playing Records
Capturing details about our historic fixtures including results, players, programme notes etc is a major challenge and is one that will take years to complete. But we are fortunate to have accurate playing records for the Ealing 1sts from 1979 to 1999, plus accurate records for the amateur teams from 2009 to the present and list of all fixtures and results for Ealing Trailfinders Championship and Ealing Trailfinders 1871 teams going forward. All fixtures are captured as Events with Type "Match".
