Alex King died in a tragic accident in Australia on, we believe, 18th October 2008.
Valedictory
Alex was definitely playing for the Exiles in 2002, maybe earlier. Alex had emigrated to Australia in late 2004. Some years later Moggy passed on a sad message.
“Hi Ealing boys, Moggy here. I have awful, tragic, and very very sad news. Kingo, Alex King, was killed in a car accident last night after a big drinking session with me at Byron Bay 7s Rugby weekend. Unfortunately Kingo made a ridiculous decision to drive home after he was ejected from the pub. He died instantly. A GREAT BLOKE, A GREATMATE, A DEAR LOVING PERSON and another Exile lost. I love my mate Kingo and will miss him greatly. Love Moggy x”.
The Exiles pre match 1/2 Guinness will be supplemented by a shot of Bundy Rum, Kingo's favourite tipple this weekend!
