"The score line is a true reflection of a finely balanced game between these keen rivals, with Ealing taking the Cup by virtue of a marginal superiority, particularly in the first half when they achieved all their points. Attacking from the kick off, Ealing went into the lead after five minutes from a Corbett penalty. Maintaining the pressure and containing Ruislip counter attacks, Ealing improved their position when from a five yard scrum the irrepressible Murialdi, despite the attentions of two defenders, crossed to score."
