London Irish 38 - 10 Ealing Evergreens
Date: 09-09-2011 15:00
Type: Match
Section: Adults

Well done to all on Friday night, the score didn’t do us justice and I felt for the first game of the season we played very well for most of the game. London Irish where very well organised and had a few players who have just dropped down from there firsts which made the difference. We do need to up our fitness levels and I urge as many to start attending training on Tuesday night from 7.30pm.

Special mention should go to Percy, Kean, Dereck, Matt, Mark Cannon, Eric & Jules for playing their first game with the Evergreens and for taking part in the customary drinking at London Irish and afterwards in the Plough.

Leaving the Plough at 2am for most of us was filled with adventure particularly when Bill Miller(1) was involved in a drive by shooting with a water pistol. I am sure he will go through the details when you see him next. Disappointing to see the Police were unable to assist due to continued stuffing chicken burgers down there mouth.
