Obituary

Patrick Kirby (Whitethorn, Lemonfield, Crecora, Co. Limerick. V94 PN0V).

August 23rd 2025 peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Margaret. Dearly loved father of Aoife, Fintan and Freda. Sadly missed by his loving brothers John, James and sisters Jennifer and Freda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Peggy and his brother Michael.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home on Wednesday (27th August) from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral arriving at St. Nessan’s Church, Raheen on Thursday (28th August) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm.

A big loss to all who knew him, one of the funniest person I’ve ever met…like Lyndon I too shared a house with Pat and also Pat B, those memories will live on for long time. Love and thoughts to Margaret and family at this very sad time. RIP mate

Fletch (Graham Fletcher)

Very sad news. Pat was a fine prop forward. More importantly, he was a great guy off the pitch with a razor sharp sense of humour. RIP.

Dave Horne

Many who knew him in our family mention his great character - he was a frequent lunch or dinner guest at our family home in Limerick and my parents (now passed) really enjoyed his company. RIP to a big loss for the front row union!
