Fresh from a stint with the Melbourne Rebels Academy, David Southwood joins the Men’s Section coaching team with immediate effect. Assuming a dual role leading the 2nd XV and assisting with the 1st XV David joins at an exciting time and will play a significant role in preparation for the coming season.

Head Coach Nick Lambert said “From an early juncture David was our preferred candidate and I’m delighted to see him join the Club. It’s key for the Section that we build greater competition for 1st XV places and David’s priority for the first half of the season will be to develop a 2nd XV that has players pushing hard for Shield game-time. David’s development expertise will also help upskill all members and will be a particular benefit with those new to or returning to the game”.
