The first 10 minutes of the game were rushed and lacked co-ordination and the finishing touches to some good plays. At 10 minutes, when the first try went in, things began to settle down and the hurry was taken off the ball, which allowed our game to flow more freely and to have the ball moved more accurately.
There was sheer domination in the scrums throughout the game and although substitutions were made in the second half, this did not lessen the blow for Harrow, as Ealing 1871 continued winning the ball, both with and against the head. This dominance in the scrummaging gave the platform for 8 of the 13 tries, with three of those tries coming in the first half and five in the second half.
Although the penalty count was below 10, one of the figures we have aimed for, unfortunately 5 of those 7 came in the 2nd half, when realistically we should have had even more composure and accuracy of decision making.
Despite there being points left out there, it was a great way to round off this half of the season and it was a clear message to the rest of the league.
