A tight first 20 minutes. Missed tackles from Theo and Stan led to opposition tries in what was a see-saw opening. Stan had an off day throwing in and possession at lineout was squandered. Against this the scrum dominated giving possession and gaining penalties. Luke Dones came on and made an immediate impact carrying well and scoring. Tim Also scored from close range finishing off an 80 metre move, The bomb squad arrived at half time - Luke Parry , Ben Thompson won penalties at the breakdown and carried effectively as we dominated the 2nd half. The spacing was better in the defence and 1st up tackles were made. Brathers, would have been grinning like a Cheshire Cat . Alas hail, thunder and lightning shortened the 2nd half by 10 minutes with 1871 dominating in all areas of the pitch. Couple of injuries to key senior  players was the only downside. Overall a clinical performance against a side that was second in the league.
