Ealing Cougars put themselves in a very strong position in the merit table with a big win against bottom team LNZ.

The Cougars started the game a furious pace and never let the opposition into the match scoring 10 tries including a hat trick for debutant Ed Joyce.

The Cougars are now 2nd in the league with a game in hand and a far superior points difference over all the other teams in the league.

The next two weeks will see the league decided and with the Cougars' fate in their own hands this win has now put them in the driving seat in the league.
